                  Features:
                   
                  1. This is a plastic welding technique which is analogous to gas welding of metals, though the specific techniques are different.
                  2. This specially designed heat g-un (hot air welder) produces a jet of hot air that softens the parts to be joined, as well as the plastic filler rod.
                  3. Hot air/gas welding is a common fabrication technique for manufacturing smaller items including and not limited to chemical tanks, water tanks (black, grey, fresh & ballast), heat exchangers, and plumbing fittings.
                  4. The materials being welded and the welding rod must be of the same or very similar plastic. Welding PVC to acrylic is an exception to this rule.
                   
                  Application:
                   
                  1. Welding of thermoplastic materials as well as single-ply flexible plastics and modified bitumen in the form of boards, tubes, profiles, lining membranes, coated materials, films, foams, tiles and sheets. The following procedures are possible: overlap welding, welding with rod, with tape, butt welding and melt welding.
                  2. For foaming, ending and sealing of the thermoplastic semi-finished materials and plastic granules.
                  3. Drying of water-damp surfaces.
                  4. Shrinking of heat-shrink sleeves, films, tapes, solder sleeves, preformed and mould part.
                  5. Soldering of copper pipes, solder joints and metal foils.
                  6. Defrosting of frozen water pipes.
                  7. Activating and dissolving of solvent free adhesive and fusion adhesives.
                  8. Igniting of wood shavings, paper, coal or straw in furnaces.
